Comal ISD Hosting Districtwide Job Fair at Canyon High School April 11 to Recruit Teachers, Staff and Support Roles

March 10 2026

As communities across the Texas Hill Country continue to grow, local schools are expanding right alongside them. Comal Independent School District is now inviting educators, administrators and community members to explore career opportunities at its upcoming Comal ISD Spring Job Fair, scheduled for Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Canyon High School in New Braunfels.

The districtwide hiring event offers residents a chance to learn about careers in one of the fastest-growing school districts in Texas, while also giving the district an opportunity to connect with people interested in shaping the educational journey of thousands of students across the region.

With campuses serving more than 30,300 students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, Comal ISD leaders say the district is seeking passionate professionals who want their work to make a meaningful impact inside classrooms and throughout school communities.

Opportunities Available Across Comal ISD

The Comal ISD Job Fair at Canyon High School is open to applicants interested in a wide range of roles throughout the district. Hiring representatives will be available to discuss positions including:

  • Teachers and instructional staff
  • Campus and district administrators
  • Classroom support personnel
  • Operational and campus support roles

Distrit leaders emphasize that every role contributes to student success, whether directly in the classroom or supporting schools behind the scenes.

“Whether you’re in the classroom or supporting our schools behind the scenes, your work has a purpose,” district organizers said in announcing the event.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with district representatives, learn about current openings and explore what working in Comal Independent School District looks like day to day.

A full list of available positions can be viewed online at comalcareers.org, where applicants can also learn more about the district’s hiring process.

A Fast-Growing School District in the Texas Hill Country

Located north of San Antonio and stretching across communities including New Braunfels, Spring Branch, Bulverde and surrounding areas, Comal ISD has experienced steady enrollment growth in recent years as families continue moving to the Hill Country.

District leaders describe Comal ISD as a dynamic and rapidly expanding school district focused on strong academics, fine arts, athletics and citizenship development. Many of its campuses are located within scenic Hill Country communities, reflecting the district’s commitment to neighborhood-based schools and strong family involvement.

Comal ISD also highlights two pillars that help define its approach to education: service learning and community engagement.

Service learning initiatives encourage students to give back and develop social responsibility, while active partnerships with parents and community members aim to strengthen the connection between schools and the neighborhoods they serve.

These efforts, district leaders say, help create an environment where students are encouraged to grow academically and personally.

“You Belong Here”: Building the Next Generation of Educators

The “You Belong Here” Comal ISD Job Fair reflects the district’s goal of building a team that shares a commitment to student success and community values.

Organizers say the event is designed to welcome both experienced educators and individuals considering a new path in education or school support roles.

“Are you ready to make a difference that lasts a lifetime?” the district asks prospective applicants in its invitation to the event.

Officials say staff members play a critical role in shaping the district’s mission of “Growing Greatness,” helping guide students toward future success while strengthening the communities Comal ISD serves.

What Job Seekers Should Know Before Attending

Supporting Students Through Strong Schools

For families across the region, strong schools remain a cornerstone of thriving communities. Hiring events like the Comal ISD Job Fair in New Braunfels help ensure campuses continue to be staffed by dedicated professionals who are committed to helping students succeed.

As the district continues growing alongside the Hill Country communities it serves, leaders say finding the right people to join their team remains one of the most important investments they can make.
