City of Katy Issues Public Service Announcement: Tree Limb Pickup After Severe Weather Event
In the aftermath of the recent severe weather event, the City of Katy understands that many residents are dealing with fallen tree limbs and debris. To assist with the cleanup efforts, here are some important guidelines:

Citywide Cleanup Efforts

Texas Pride will be collecting tree limbs that meet specific requirements. These limbs should be placed on the curb for pickup and will be collected by Texas Pride on regular trash pick-up days.

Public Works: Larger limbs not picked up by Texas Pride will be collected by the City of Katy’s street department. Please follow the additional tips below for proper disposal.

Requirements for Tree Limb Pickup by Texas Pride

Tree limbs should be cut down to four-foot lengths.

Tie the limbs in a bundle and stack them at the curb.

Branches must not exceed two inches in diameter.
-
Bundles should not weigh more than 40 lbs.

Large stumps and fencing material will not be included in the pick up.

Additional Tips for Tree Limb Pickup

Tree limbs should not be placed in the street or over the curb.

Limbs should be placed in the City’s ROW.
-
Avoid blocking the sidewalk if possible.
-
Be patient as crews work diligently to clean up the affected areas.
