City of Fulshear Develops Updated Drought Contingency Plan for Water Conservation
According to a recent updated posted by the City of Fulshear, a draft update to the City of Fulshear Drought Contingency Plan was recently presented to the city council on April 16, 2024. Per officials, the purpose of this plan is to conserve water supply during times of drought, water shortage, or emergency, ensuring that essential needs such as domestic water use, sanitation, and fire protection are met. Additionally, the plan aims to protect public health, welfare, and safety, minimize the adverse impacts of water shortages, and comply with regulations set by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and other agencies.
The draft Drought Contingency Plan is available for public review here, while the presentation made to the city council can be accessed here. The City plans to present a final version of the plan at the regular city council meeting scheduled for May 21, 2024.
