CFISD Seeking Bus Buddies for First Two Days of School Next Week
The first day of school is Monday, August 28 and CFISD needs your help to ensure a smooth start to the new school year.
Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is looking for volunteers to serve as CFISD Bus Buddies to help the District's youngest riders reach their proper drop-off points during the first two days of school on August 28 and 29. Bus Buddies is a partnership between volunteers and CFISD to provide assistance to elementary students. Bus Buddies volunteers help ensure CFISD's youngest riders get off the bus at their correct locations.
After registering, Bus Buddies will receive a confirmation email along with training materials that will need to be reviewed. On the first and second days of the school year, Bus Buddies will arrive and sign in at their assigned school where campus staff will assist. Participants will need their driver's license to sign in. Then, Bus Buddies will enjoy helping students and their bus drivers!
The program requires one "Bus Buddy" per elementary bus for the first two days of school (August 28-29, 2023). Volunteers may register to serve for one or both days.
