Celebrate Christmas in July with Lunches of Love

July 05 2023

Christmas in July is back at Lunches of Love!

Every year, many caring members of the community work together with Lunches of Love (LoL) to help transform a child's Christmas from something uncertain to something extraordinary with wrapped gifts and a special holiday meal, all lovingly supplied and prepared by LoL volunteers. Lunches of Love, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is committed to helping end childhood hunger in Fort Bend County by providing a free nutritious sack lunch during extended school holidays and weekends.

Last year, LoL provided gifts to 600 children and served over 700 plates of food in their 13th Annual Community Christmas program. From July 10 through August 11, Lunches of Love is seeking donated toys, gift cards and monetary donations as part of their Christmas in July initiative, which aims to get a jump start on their 14th Annual Community Christmas.

Lunches of Love has several ways you can help a child in need to have a very merry Christmas:
  1. Visit one of LoL's online registries, shop, and have the item shipped directly to Lunches of Love.  Both gift items and gift card options are available online.
  2. Stop by the LoL building, located at 1416 Radio Lane in Rosenberg (open Monday through Friday from 9 AM - noon) and choose a gift tag off the tree.  Shop at your favorite store and return the unwrapped gift to the building by August 11.
(Tree will be up July 10 - August 11)
  3. No time to shop? Put LoL's elves to work!  Drop off monetary donations or Target/WalMart gift cards and LoL's little elves will shop for you.  Donations can be dropped off or mailed to:  Lunches of Love, 1416 Radio Lane, Rosenberg, TX 77471. (Please add "Community Christmas" to the memo line of checks.)

Please supply all gifts, gift cards, etc. by Friday, August 11. To learn more about Lunches of Love, please visit lunchesoflove.net.
