Yard of the Month: Congratulations to the Thompsons
Champions Park residents had plenty to smile - and maybe shriek - about this October, thanks to new neighbors who went all out for Halloween. The Thompsons, who recently moved into 6715 Apple Valley Lane, were named Champions Park’s Yard of the Month for their bold, creative take on spooky seasonal décor.
Their front yard transformed into a playful scene straight from Beetlejuice, complete with towering pumpkin arches framing the entryway and curling black-and-white striped “sandworm” inflatables rising from the lawn. The display balanced fright and fun perfectly, giving trick-or-treaters and passersby a reason to slow down and admire the artistry.
Community board members said the Thompsons’ design stood out not just for its execution but for the joyful Halloween energy it brought to the neighborhood. “We wanted to thank them for the creativity of Beetlejuice and for adding a fun and scary vibe to Champions Park,” they shared.
As the neighborhood heads into the holiday season, residents are celebrating the spirit of togetherness and creativity that makes Champions Park such a special place to call home.
Congratulations to the Thompsons—Champions Park’s Yard of the Month winners!
