Williamsburg Settlement Pool Shifts to Weekend Hours Through Sept. 27 as Neighborhood Swim Season Winds Down

Williamsburg Settlement Pool Shifts to Weekend Hours Through Sept. 27 as Neighborhood Swim Season Winds Down

Williamsburg Settlement  /
August 11 2026

For families who are not quite ready to say goodbye to summer, there is good news: the Williamsburg Settlement pool remains open through Sept. 27, giving residents several more weekends to swim, relax and enjoy one of the neighborhood’s favorite warm-weather gathering places.

With lifeguards heading back to school, the pool has now transitioned from its regular summer schedule to weekend-only operations for the remainder of the 2026 swim season. It is a familiar sign that the school year is underway, but it does not mean pool season is over just yet.

After another busy summer at the neighborhood pool, Williamsburg Settlement residents can continue enjoying the facility on Saturdays and Sundays through the final weekend of September, along with a special Labor Day opening.

Williamsburg Settlement Pool Hours for the Rest of the 2026 Season

The remaining scheduled pool dates are:

August
  • Aug. 15-16
  • Aug. 22-23
  • Aug. 29-30
September
  • Sept. 5-7
  • Sept. 12-13
  • Sept. 19-20
  • Sept. 26-27

On scheduled Saturdays and Sundays, the pool will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The pool will also be open on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

When the pool opens on a Monday holiday, it closes the following Tuesday for cleaning. Pool dates are also subject to minor changes based on the Katy ISD calendar.

For residents searching for Williamsburg Settlement pool hours, Labor Day pool hours in Williamsburg Settlementor the neighborhood’s September swimming schedule, Sept. 27 is currently scheduled to be the final day of the season.

Another Summer of Neighborhood Memories

Community pools tend to become more than places to cool off during a Texas summer. They are where children bump into classmates, neighbors catch up from opposite sides of the pool deck and families can spend a few hours together without traveling far from home.

That familiar rhythm has continued through another successful year at the Settlement pool.

For Williamsburg Settlement, keeping the pool available on weekends after school resumes gives families a chance to stretch summer traditions a little longer, especially as August heat carries into September.

Residents planning a weekend swim should keep the abbreviated schedule in mind now that weekday operations have ended.

Katy Wolfpack Special Olympics Returns for Swim Practices

The remaining weeks of the season will also serve another important community purpose.

The Katy Wolfpack Special Olympics will once again use the Settlement pool for practice sessions during the remainder of the swim season.

Their return adds another meaningful chapter to the neighborhood facility’s summer story, with the pool serving not only as a recreational space for residents but also as a place where local athletes can train and prepare together.

For neighbors, seeing those practices return is also a reminder of the many ways a community amenity can extend beyond casual recreation and support organizations and athletes in the broader Katy area.

What Residents Should Know Before Heading to the Pool

With weekday swimming finished for the season, residents may want to check the calendar before packing towels and heading out.

The key takeaway is simple: the Settlement pool is now open weekends only through Sunday, Sept. 27, with the additional Labor Day opening on Sept. 7. Regular remaining operating hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

As always, the schedule may see minor adjustments tied to the Katy ISD calendar.

For families who spent much of the summer poolside — and those who still have a few swims left on their summer list — there are several weekends remaining to enjoy the water, visit with neighbors and make the most of the final weeks of the 2026 neighborhood swim season.
