Westlake / Westlake Forest Labor Day Trash Reminder: No Pickup Sept. 7
Residents in Westlake and Westlake Forest may want to make a quick note on the calendar before the Labor Day holiday: Best Trash will not provide regular trash or recycling pickup on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026.
According to Best Trash's 2026 holiday schedule, its office will also be closed for Labor Day. Westlake and Westlake Forest are not among the communities listed for normal Labor Day collection, meaning residents should not place trash out expecting the usual Monday service.
When Will Best Trash Service Resume?
Best Trash states that regular trash service for affected customers will resume Thursday, Sept. 10, while Monday recycling service will resume Monday, Sept. 14.
For Westlake and Westlake Forest families enjoying the long weekend, the main takeaway is simple: skip the Monday rollout and plan for the next scheduled collection after Labor Day.
