Villages of Bear Creek Residents Asked to Help Protect Neighborhood Park and Pavilion
For families gathering under the pavilion, children spending an afternoon at the park or neighbors simply enjoying some time outdoors, the shared recreational spaces in Villages of Bear Creek are an important part of everyday community life. Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 167 is asking residents and visitors to help make sure they stay that way.
The district, which serves the neighborhood, recently issued a reminder encouraging everyone who uses the park and pavilion to properly dispose of trash, respect the facilities and avoid damaging community property.
A Simple Request: Respect the Park
The message is straightforward: the park and pavilion belong to the community, and taking care of them helps ensure they remain enjoyable for everyone.
Residents are being asked to clean up after themselves, place trash in appropriate receptacles and treat park structures and other amenities with care. Those small habits can make a noticeable difference in how welcoming the space feels for the next family, neighbor or group that visits.
The reminder is especially relevant for a neighborhood amenity that may see regular use for family gatherings, outdoor play and casual get-togethers.
Video Surveillance and Fines of Up to $1,000
Harris County MUD No. 167 also wants residents to know that the park area is under video surveillance.
According to the district's notice, littering and vandalism may result in fines of up to $1,000 per incident. The surveillance and possible penalties are intended to help protect the shared property and discourage damage that could affect the community as a whole.
