Twin Lakes Residents Invited to Connect, Celebrate, and Learn at Water Smart Happy Hour

June 26 2026

Getting to know your neighbors is one of the things that makes Twin Lakes feel like home, and an upcoming community gathering offers residents a chance to do just that while learning something that can benefit both their household and the community. Harris County MUD No. 255 is inviting all Twin Lakes residents to attend its Water Smart Happy Hour on Saturday, June 27, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Twin Lakes Clubhouse.

Designed as a relaxed, adults-only evening, the event combines good food, conversation, and practical information about becoming "Water Smart." Whether you've lived in Twin Lakes for years or recently moved into the neighborhood, the gathering offers an opportunity to meet fellow residents, reconnect with familiar faces, and learn more about simple ways to use water wisely. Responsible water use not only helps conserve an important resource but can also contribute to long-term sustainability throughout the community.

The Water Smart Happy Hour is intended to be informal and welcoming, with plenty of time to enjoy refreshments and visit with neighbors before learning more about local water conservation efforts. Harris County MUD No. 255's Water Smart initiative encourages residents to better understand how everyday habits can make a meaningful difference in protecting water resources while helping maintain reliable service for the community.

Residents planning to attend are asked to RSVP to Darlene Marmottin at dmarmottin@sbcglobal.net. The event will be held at the Twin Lakes Clubhouse and is open to all Twin Lakes residents who would like to enjoy an evening of community fellowship while discovering practical tips for becoming more Water Smart.

As Twin Lakes continues to grow, events like these help strengthen neighborhood connections while encouraging residents to work together in caring for the community's shared resources.
