Tomball Lions Club Donates $2,000 in Food to TEAM

June 28 2023

The Tomball Lions Club recently purchased $2,000 worth of non-perishable food items to help the Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries (TEAM) food pantry replenish its stock.

The purchase was made from H-E-B and facilitated by Patty James, H-E-B Area Community Coordinator. Shown unloading at TEAM with one of the two H-E-B delivery trucks (front row) Lion Directors Karen Halbach and Mike Halbach and (back row) H-E-B representatives Patty James and son Taylor James.

The TEAM food pantry gratefully accepts food donations at its 300 West Main St. location from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Wednesdays and Fridays. Established in 1985, Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries (TEAM) operates a resale shop, food pantry and an assistance ministry. TEAM provides short-term assistance with food, clothing, shelter, rent and utilities, as well as medical, dental and prescription needs. TEAM is a ministry and, as such, provides assistance based on legitimate and thoroughly vetted needs, thanks to the generous volunteer support, and food and financial donations from members of the Tomball community.
