Tomball ISD Celebrates Groundbreaking of New Juergen Road Complex

October 14 2022

Tomball ISD celebrated a monumental day on Oct. 10, 2022 with the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new 205-acre Juergen Road Complex, featuring a Elementary School #12, Intermediate School #4 and Comprehensive High School #3, located at 17702 Mueschke Road.

The three schools will become the 23rd, 24th and 25th campuses in Tomball ISD, which currently educates nearly 22,000 students.

“It is a great day to celebrate the great growth we continue to see in Tomball ISD,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora said. “It is a day of celebration, a day of thanks and a day to bring our great community together.”

The Tomball ISD Board of Trustees, Salazar-Zamora, and the district Executive Team joined together with project partners: LAN (Project Manager), Architects PBK (Elementary), IBI Group (Intermediate) and Huckabee (High School), Engineers Brooks, and Sparks and Surveyor West Belt Surveying.

“We want to thank our community for the assistance in passing Bond 2021,” said Salazar-Zamora. This Bond could not have been passed without the amazing support of our School Board and our community believing in the future of our great district.”

The passing of Bond 2021 for $494.5 million will support this complex and many other district-wide improvements. The celebratory event commended the community backing of the Bond and applauded the planning efforts by many.

Board of Trustees Vice President Lee McLeod also added a few words.

“Just a deep expression of gratitude from the [School] Board to all those committed to making something like this happen. A decade ago when this land was purchased - it was vision and forethought, looking way down the road, to see we would have the facilities necessary because the district was growing, that is incredible.”
