Bruster’s Real Ice Cream Building New Scoop Shop in Tomball
A new chapter in sweet treats is coming to the Tomball Parkway corridor. Bruster’s Real Ice Cream is building a new shop at 25555 Tomball Pkwy, Tomball, TX 77375, with construction officially slated to begin in early October 2025. If all goes according to schedule, the 1,457-square-foot scoop shop is expected to be complete by late April 2026—just in time for next year’s ice cream season.
The project, with an estimated private investment of $1.3 million, marks the brand’s continued expansion into Greater Houston’s suburban communities. The future Bruster’s in Tomball will be a new construction, one-story building designed to support high-volume, quick-service ice cream operations.
A Growing National Brand with Local Flavor
Bruster’s Real Ice Cream isn’t your average chain. Founded in 1989 in Bridgewater, Pennsylvania, Bruster’s has earned a loyal following for its small-batch, handcrafted ice cream made fresh onsite each day. The brand now boasts over 200 locations across 22 states, with several recent entries into Texas markets.
In the Greater Houston area, Bruster’s currently has locations in Katy, Pearland, Spring, and Richmond, with Tomball set to join the list as the northwest suburbs continue to grow. Each shop is known for its vibrant red-and-white color scheme, walk-up window service, and an ever-changing lineup of over 150 flavors, including classics like butter pecan and cookies and cream, alongside bold seasonal offerings like peach melba, banana cream pie, and dark chocolate graham.

Unlike many commercial chains, Bruster’s makes its ice cream the old-fashioned way—with premium ingredients, a slow-churned process, and no freezers to store finished product. Everything is made fresh in-store, often within hours of being scooped into a cone.
What to Expect from Bruster’s in Tomball
Once open, the Tomball location will serve the full Bruster’s experience: hand-dipped and soft-serve ice creams, waffle cones, sundaes, milkshakes, and their signature “Blasts”—custom mix-in treats similar to a DQ Blizzard. The shop is also expected to cater to families, with a kid-friendly environment and pet-friendly “Doggie Sundaes” on the menu.
Bruster’s has also built a reputation for community engagement, often partnering with schools and local nonprofits to host spirit nights, fundraisers, and events.
With Harris County’s northwest corridor booming—and nearby communities like Inverness Estates and Lakes at Northpointe, all within reach—the Tomball shop is well-positioned to serve a growing base of ice cream lovers eager for a premium, made-from-scratch treat close to home.
Stay Tuned for Opening Day
Residents eager to welcome Bruster’s to Tomball can expect updates over the coming months as construction progresses. The scoop shop will be built on private land near the upcoming, nearby Sam's Club, signaling strong market confidence in Tomball’s consumer landscape.
