Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries in Critical Need of Food Donations

September 22 2023

Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries needs your help.

The need for food assistance is on the rise across the Greater Houston Area. Consequently, the Houston Food Bank is low on supplies, which has affected supplies at the food pantry at Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries (T.E.A.M.). Currently, T.E.A.M. is critically low on supplies that allow them to support neighbors in need right here in Tomball. Please consider picking up a few extra items at the grocery store this weekend to help replenish their necessary supplies. The following non-perishable food items are especially needed:
  • Canned meats, tuna
  • Mac n' Cheese
  • Jelly
  • Cereal
  • And/or other nutritious and shelf-stable items

Donations are accepted on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. To donate food and supplies to T.E.A.M.'s pantry, drive down the alley behind T.E.A.M. to the double doors marked "Food Donations" and knock loudly.

Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries was established as a nonprofit organization in 1985, when 13 Tomball churches joined together to "follow Christ's command to love and provide for those in need" in their community. T.E.A.M. operates a resale shop, food pantry and an assistance ministry. In addition, T.E.A.M. provides short-term assistance with food, clothing, shelter, rent and utilities, as well as medical, dental and prescription needs. Since T.E.A.M. receives no government funding, T.E.A.M.'s outreach is made possible through volunteer support, and food and financial donations from members of the Tomball community.
