Tomball Art League Spring Show & Sale 2026 Invites K-12 Student Artists to Shine at Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library
As families across Tomball look for meaningful ways to encourage creativity beyond the classroom, the Tomball Art League (TAL) is opening the door for young artists to step into the spotlight.
The 2026 TAL Spring Show & Sale, happening April 23–25 at the Lone Star College–Tomball Community Library, is inviting student artists in grades K–12 to enter original artwork for exhibition and judging. At only $2 per student entry, the event offers an accessible, community-centered platform for young creators to share their talents publicly—whether they are enrolled in public school, private school, homeschool programs or creating independently at home.
For many local families, this annual event has quietly become one of the most trusted and well-loved opportunities for young artists to share their work and grow.
Why This Matters for Tomball Families
Encouraging artistic expression isn’t just about ribbons or recognition—it’s about confidence, discipline and community connection.
By participating in the Tomball Art League Spring Show & Sale, students gain experience submitting work to a juried show, learning presentation standards and receiving professional feedback. They compete within four grade-level divisions and across a variety of art media categories, allowing young artists of all interests to participate.
Importantly, students do not need to enter through a school. Individual submissions are welcomed, making this opportunity especially valuable for homeschool families and independent art students in Tomball, Magnolia, Klein, Cypress and northwest Harris County.
Community members who have contacts with local art teachers or homeschool groups are encouraged to help spread the word. Questions can be directed to TAL member Lorel Hohl at lhohlford@gmail.com.

A Longstanding Creative Home in Tomball
Established in 1983, the Tomball Art League has spent more than four decades promoting art appreciation in Tomball and surrounding communities. The organization brings together artists of all skill levels—emerging and experienced alike—through monthly meetings, visiting artist demonstrations and exhibitions.
Beyond member programming, TAL plays an important role in the broader Tomball arts community by hosting juried art shows, public exhibitions and rotating displays at local venues. These events not only provide exposure for artists but also strengthen connections between residents and the local creative economy.
For many families, participation in the Spring Show & Sale becomes a milestone—an early experience of seeing a child’s artwork displayed publicly, professionally judged and appreciated by neighbors.
