The Peach Cobbler Factory Now Open in Cypress, Bringing Late-Night Southern Desserts to Barker Cypress Road and US 290

Cypress residents searching for a late-night dessert spot now have another local option, with The Peach Cobbler Factory officially open at 12312 Barker Cypress Road, Suite 1700 near the Coles Crossing neighborhood.

The shop celebrated its grand opening July 21, bringing the national dessert franchise’s warm cobblers, banana puddings, cinnamon rolls, cookies and milkshakes to a busy stretch of Barker Cypress Road. The company identified the Cypress restaurant as its 19th Texas location, marking another step in the brand’s continued expansion across the state.

For local families, the opening adds a dessert-focused gathering place designed for everything from an after-school treat to a weekend family outing or a late-night stop with friends. The Cypress location is open until 11 p.m. early in the week and until 1 a.m. Thursday through Saturday, according to the restaurant’s official location page. Delivery and catering are also available.

What is on the menu at The Peach Cobbler Factory in Cypress?

Despite its name, The Peach Cobbler Factory serves considerably more than traditional peach cobbler.

The menu includes several cobbler varieties, such as peach, blackberry peach, caramel apple, sweet potato pecan, strawberry peach, mango peach, honey apple and cinnamon praline peach. Cobbler orders can be served warm and paired with vanilla ice cream, giving customers the familiar combination of warm fruit filling, crust and a cold topping.

The broader dessert selection includes banana pudding, cheesecake served in individual cups, brownies, cinnamon rolls, churro sticks, ice cream creations and oversized cookies. Customers can also order Cobbler Shakes and Pudd-N Shakes, which blend the company’s signature desserts into handcrafted milkshakes.

That variety is part of what separates the concept from a traditional bakery or ice cream shop. Rather than centering its menu on a single dessert category, The Peach Cobbler Factory brings several nostalgic American sweets together under one roof.

The format also gives groups more flexibility. One customer might stop in for classic peach cobbler while another chooses banana pudding, a cheesecake cup, a brownie or a milkshake.

A Nashville dessert concept expands across Texas

The Peach Cobbler Factory traces its roots to Nashville, Tennessee, where the business was founded in 2013. The company has built its identity around Southern-style desserts intended to recall the comfort and familiarity of desserts served in a family kitchen.

Franchising began in 2022, helping the concept grow from its Nashville beginnings into a national brand. The company reports more than 130 brick-and-mortar and mobile units operating or under development across more than 26 states.

Its expansion strategy has included traditional storefronts as well as food trucks, airport locations and other nontraditional venues. The brand’s Texas portfolio now stretches across several metropolitan areas, with locations or planned restaurants listed in communities including Cypress, Frisco, Plano, Round Rock, Wichita Falls, Sugar Land, Cy-Fair and the Houston area.

The company is co-owned by Larry Johnston, the former chairman and CEO of Albertsons Inc., and Greg George, a franchise executive with more than 25 years of industry experience.

Local ownership brings the brand to Cypress

The new Cypress Peach Cobbler Factory is owned and operated by Derryl Bohanna, who previously described plans for a community-oriented restaurant with a friendly Texas atmosphere.

As an independently operated franchise, the location pairs the resources and menu of a growing national brand with local ownership. That connection can matter in a community such as Cypress, where residents often look for neighborhood businesses that can become familiar destinations rather than simply places to make a one-time purchase.

“We’re excited to welcome Derryl Bohanna to The Peach Cobbler Factory family and to continue our growth throughout Texas,” Peach Cobbler Factory CEO Greg George said. “Cypress is a vibrant and growing community, and we look forward to serving guests with high-quality desserts that are baked fresh daily.”

The Barker Cypress location also arrives as the surrounding Cypress and Cy-Fair area continues to attract new restaurants, retailers and service businesses responding to residential and commercial growth.

For residents, that growth means more dining choices close to home. In this case, it also means a place focused entirely on dessert — including options that may remind customers of family gatherings, holiday tables and recipes passed between generations.
