A highly anticipated dining addition is on its way to Cypress, as The Cheesecake Factory is set to open a new location at Houston Premium Outlets. The restaurant will be located at 29216 Hempstead Road, Cypress, TX 77433, bringing its famous extensive menu and legendary cheesecakes to the area.

According to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), construction on the $5 million project is scheduled to begin in early May 2025 and is expected to be completed by early November 2025. If construction stays on schedule, the restaurant will open just in time for the holiday season.

The new Cypress location will be a free-standing building spanning 10,892 square feet, featuring an exterior covered patio for additional outdoor dining options. The design of the restaurant will be handled by James Gartner & Associates, a Santa Ana, California-based firm known for bringing other Cheesecake Factory locations to life.

The Cheesecake Factory’s Rich History & Menu

The Cheesecake Factory traces its origins back to the 1940s, when founder Evelyn Overton discovered a cheesecake recipe in a Detroit newspaper. Her passion for baking eventually led to the opening of a small bakery, which she later put on hold to focus on her family. The Cheesecake Factory is also known for generous portion sizes, making it a favorite for both dine-in and takeout guests. Their signature high-energy atmosphere, brunch service on weekends, curbside to-go options, and a full bar complement its expansive menu.

Houston-Area Locations & Expansion to Cypress

The new Cypress location will become the seventh Cheesecake Factory restaurant in the Greater Houston area, joining existing locations at Katy Mills Mall in Katy, Memorial City Mall and The Galleria in Houston, The Woodlands Mall in The Woodlands, First Colony Mall in Sugar Land, and Baybrook Mall in Friendswood.

With its prime location at Houston Premium Outlets, the new restaurant is expected to draw shoppers, families, and visitors looking for a high-quality dining experience. The addition of The Cheesecake Factory to Cypress signals continued growth and demand for premium dining options in the area, followed by announcements about Jonathan’s The Rub coming to Bridgeland and the opening of Fogo de Chão at US 290 and FM 1960 in December 2024.
