Taste of Tomball Returns Sept. 15 With Local Food, Community Favorites and Scholarships on the Menu
For Tomball residents who like discovering local restaurants while supporting students in the community, the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce’s Taste of Tomball offers both in one lunch-hour event.
The annual gathering returns Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Tomball VFW, located at 14408 Alice Road, bringing together restaurants, cafés, dessert shops and other local businesses for a come-and-go tasting event. Admission is $20, and all are welcome.
Nearly 20 Tomball-Area Restaurants and Businesses Participating
One ticket gives guests the opportunity to sample offerings from each participating establishment or choose a to-go container instead. The 2026 lineup includes Bruster's Ice Cream Food Truck, Cabo Bob's Burritos, Chick-fil-A Grand Pkwy at Tomball Pkwy, Chicken Salad Chick, Don Tomate Meat Market and More, Gringo's Mexican Kitchen, HCA Healthcare Tomball, HTeaO, Jersey Mike's Subs - Tomball Marketplace, Main Event Entertainment Tomball, Mel's Country Cafe, Pepperoni's Tomball, Rancho Grande Mexican Restaurant, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Small Cakes Tomball, The Original Rib Tickler, The Whistle Stop Tea Room, Thistle Draftshop and Victory Pie Company, LLC.
That mix gives attendees a chance to sample everything from sandwiches and Mexican food to barbecue, tea, desserts and frozen treats — all without spending the afternoon driving from one Tomball restaurant to another.
Taste of Tomball Supports Local Scholarships
The event is organized by the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce Women’s Committee, and proceeds benefit the committee’s Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to local high school senior girls graduating in 2027.
That community connection gives the Taste of Tomball a purpose beyond lunch. Every ticket purchased helps turn an afternoon of local dining into financial support for students preparing for their next step after high school.
For participating businesses, the event also offers an opportunity to introduce their food and services to residents who may not have visited before, while strengthening connections between Tomball restaurants, employers and the broader community.
Tickets Available in Advance or at the Door
Tickets are $20 and may be purchased in advance through the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce or at the door. Cash, credit cards and checks will be accepted.
Residents who have questions can contact the Chamber at 281-351-7222 or admin@tomballchamber.org. Businesses and organizations interested in sponsoring the event can also register through the Chamber.
With nearly 20 Tomball-area establishments taking part and scholarship fundraising built into the event, Taste of Tomball gives residents a simple way to try something new, support local businesses and invest in local students — all in one afternoon.
