Harris County ESD 11 Mobile Healthcare is partnering with Gulf Coast Blood to host a community blood drive on Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, at the agency’s administrative campus in Spring.
Community members are invited to donate blood and help maintain the regional supply used for trauma care, surgeries, cancer treatments, childbirth complications, chronic illnesses and other critical medical needs. Donations also support programs that allow participating EMS agencies to bring lifesaving blood products closer to patients experiencing severe blood loss.
Harris County ESD 11 recently launched a prehospital plasma program in collaboration with Gulf Coast Blood. Plasma carried aboard ESD 11 supervisor vehicles can be administered to certain critically ill or injured patients before they reach a hospital, giving donors a direct opportunity to support emergency medical care throughout North Harris County.

Appointments are encouraged and may be reserved in advance through Gulf Coast Blood. Donors participating during September will also receive a pair of limited-edition Gulf Coast Blood socks while supplies last.
Gulf Coast Blood must collect approximately 1,000 donations each day to support patients at more than 170 hospitals and healthcare facilities across 26 counties. Because blood cannot be manufactured and some blood products have limited shelf lives, new donations are needed every day.
Harris County ESD 11 serves more than 700,000 people across approximately 177 square miles of northern Harris County, including communities in and around Spring, Tomball, Humble and northwest Houston. The agency responds to more than 65,000 calls annually.
