Cypress Assistance Ministries will host a Houston Food Bank Senior Food Box Distribution on Monday, September 14, 2026, providing eligible older adults with access to supplemental groceries and food assistance.
The distribution is open to adults ages 60 and older who meet the applicable income limits. There are no ZIP code restrictions, allowing qualifying seniors from Cypress and communities throughout the Greater Houston area to participate.

Monthly Income Limits
- One-person household: $1,729 or less
- Two-person household: $2,345 or less
Income and age will be verified during the Cypress senior food distribution. Participants should bring a valid photo ID and their Houston Food Bank Apple Card.
Seniors who cannot attend may authorize a trusted friend or family member to pick up their food box. The person collecting the box must bring:
- A signed note from the eligible recipient granting permission, including the approved pickup date or time frame
- A copy or photograph of the recipient’s ID or Houston Food Bank Apple Card
- Their own government-issued photo ID
Participants are encouraged to arrive early because food boxes are available only while supplies last.
