Studio VII Theatre Co. at Seven Lakes High School Presents 'Mary Poppins'
Studio VII Theatre Co. at Seven Lakes High School is set to delight audiences with a magical production of Mary Poppins, running from February 6 to 8, 2025, at the Seven Lakes High School Performing Arts Center, located at 9251 S Fry Road in Katy. The show will have evening performances at 7:00 PM, with an additional matinee on February 8 at 2:00 PM.
This beloved musical, based on the stories of P.L. Travers and the classic Disney film, features unforgettable music by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, along with a book by Julian Fellowes. The production also includes new songs and additional music by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, with Cameron Mackintosh co-creating the show. The Mary Poppins musical first captivated Broadway audiences for over 2,500 performances and was nominated for numerous awards, including seven Tony Awards and nine Olivier Awards, solidifying its place as one of the most popular family musicals in the world.
Set in 1910 England, Mary Poppins tells the heartwarming story of the troubled Banks family, who receive a visit from the practically perfect nanny, Mary Poppins. With a mix of magic and life lessons, Mary Poppins helps the Banks children, Jane and Michael, along with their parents, rediscover the importance of family, kindness, and love. Through enchanting adventures, the characters learn that “Anything can happen if you let it,” making the musical a timeless tale for all ages.

Studio VII Theatre Co. was founded to support the Seven Lakes High School Theatre Department and is an essential part of the school's artistic and educational offerings. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Seven Lakes High School, and Studio VII Theatre Co. is celebrating two decades of producing excellent, award-winning theater.
