Spring 2025 at the Pearl Fincher Museum: Must-See Art Exhibitions, Camps, and Events Near Cypress
The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is set to showcase an exciting lineup of spring exhibitions, art camps, and workshops designed to inspire and engage the community. Located near Cypress, "The Pearl," as it is affectionately known, offers local residents countless opportunities to dive into the world of fine art through accessible programming and events throughout the year. This season, the museum will highlight the work of Ezra Tucker and Tramaine Townsend, alongside a variety of educational programs and hands-on art experiences for all ages.
Featured Spring Exhibitions
The Main Gallery will feature "The Art of Ezra Tucker," a touring exhibition produced by David J. Wagner, L.L.C., running through March 22, 2025. The exhibition includes 40 large-scale paintings that depict stunning wildlife portraits—rhinoceroses, tigers, and bears—as well as powerful narratives on Black experiences in the history of the American West.
Tucker’s artwork is known for its dynamic composition, dramatic use of light, and rich earth tones, giving each piece a masterful, lifelike presence. His work has captivated audiences with its ability to bring subjects to life through unexpected colors and bold, intricate details.

In the Cole Gallery, the museum presents "HEARD" by Tramaine Townsend, running through May 10, 2025. Townsend, a Houston native, is a multidisciplinary artist whose recent works explore the history and legacy of Black cowboys. His minimalist approach to imagery and thoughtful design has been recognized across multiple industries, including advertising, branding, and entertainment.
Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is free. For more details, visit pearlmfa.org.
