Rennell Elementary Third Grader Alexander Wong Named CFISD Student of the Week

March 17 2025

Rennell Elementary School third grader Alexander Wong has been named Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD) Student of the Week, earning praise from his teachers for his responsibility, compassion, and dedication to learning. At just eight years old, Alexander has demonstrated a strong work ethic, enthusiasm for academics, and unwavering support for his classmates.

A Positive Force in the Classroom

Teachers at Rennell Elementary describe Alexander as a motivated and kindhearted student who takes ownership of his education while also encouraging those around him. Whether he’s tackling challenging assignments or celebrating the successes of his peers, Alexander sets a positive example in the classroom.

“I always try my best on my schoolwork, and I love helping my friends when they need it,” said Alexander. “It makes me happy when everyone is doing well.”

His passion for learning is especially evident in math, which he names as his favorite subject. “My favorite class is math because I love ST Math,” he shared, referencing the educational program that helps students build problem-solving skills through interactive puzzles.

Outside the classroom, Alexander enjoys spending time doing what he loves most—playing video games. “My favorite thing to do after class is play Roblox,” he said, adding that he often plays with his family, making the experience even more enjoyable.

A Passion for Gaming and Creativity

Alexander’s love for video games extends beyond casual play. He dreams of turning his passion into a career. “I would like to be a game creator because I love video games!” he said excitedly. His interest in game design is fueled by his admiration for creative storytelling and engaging gameplay, both of which inspire him to think about how games are built and what makes them fun.

In addition to his ambitions, Alexander also has a few essentials he simply can’t live without. “My iPad, my family, and McDonald’s,” he said with a laugh, revealing a balance of modern technology, close family ties, and classic childhood favorites.

A Well-Rounded and Inspirational Student

When he’s not immersed in math lessons or video games, Alexander enjoys music, television, and spending time online. His favorite song is “Keep Up” by Odetari, and he finds joy in watching Minions, a show he loves because “they are funny.”

Whether he’s excelling in the classroom, supporting his friends, or dreaming about a future in game development, Alexander Wong embodies what it means to be a dedicated, creative, and compassionate student. His enthusiasm for learning and kindness toward others make him a deserving recipient of the CFISD Student of the Week recognition.

“I just want to keep learning and doing my best,” said Alexander. “It’s really cool to be Student of the Week!”

With such a bright and promising future ahead, Alexander’s love for learning and gaming is sure to take him far. As he continues to excel in school and dream big, he serves as an inspiration to his classmates and the CFISD community.
