Reminder: 2026 Board Election Candidate Filings Open August 10
For Lakes on Eldridge homeowners who have ever wanted a more direct role in decisions affecting their neighborhood, an important window is about to open.
Lakes on Eldridge Community Association, Inc. will begin accepting candidates Monday, August 10, for its 2026 Board of Directors election. Three Board positions will be filled this year, giving residents an opportunity to become directly involved in the governance and long-term direction of the community.
Candidate submissions will be accepted through Monday, August 31, 2026.
Why the Lakes on Eldridge Board Election Matters
Serving on a homeowners association board can put residents at the center of decisions involving community operations, neighborhood priorities, Association responsibilities and the stewardship of shared property and resources.
For Lakes on Eldridge homeowners, the election is also an opportunity to choose fellow residents who will represent homeowner interests and help guide decisions that can influence the neighborhood’s appearance, operations and long-term property values.
Homeowners interested in becoming candidates are encouraged to submit their information before the August 31 deadline. Candidate eligibility and other filing requirements will be included with the Association’s official candidate application.

Meet the Candidates Forum Planned for September
After candidate filing closes, Lakes on Eldridge Community Association plans to hold a Meet the Candidates Forum in September 2026.
The forum is intended to give homeowners a chance to learn more about each candidate before voting. Residents will be able to hear about candidates’ backgrounds, their goals for Lakes on Eldridge and the issues they believe deserve attention in the years ahead.
Homeowners will also have an opportunity to ask questions.
The Association plans to announce the forum date, time and other details separately.
Annual Meeting and Board Election Set for November 17
The 2026 Lakes on Eldridge Annual Meeting of the Members is scheduled for:
- Date: Tuesday, November 17, 2026
- Time: 7:00 p.m.
- Location: Lakes on Eldridge Clubhouse
Election materials and voting instructions will be provided to eligible Association members before the Annual Meeting in accordance with the community’s governing documents and applicable law.
For residents who do not plan to run for the Board, the coming months still offer an important opportunity to participate. Reviewing candidate information, attending the Meet the Candidates Forum and voting in the Lakes on Eldridge Board election are among the most direct ways homeowners can have a voice in how their community is governed.
With three seats being decided in 2026, this year’s election could bring new perspectives to the Board while continuing the work of maintaining and planning for the neighborhood residents call home.
Lakes on Eldridge homeowners should watch for additional Association communications regarding candidate applications, the September candidate forum and voting procedures ahead of the November Annual Meeting.
