Raintree Village Hosts a Toy Drive Benefiting Lone Star Santas

December 10 2024

This holiday season, Raintree Village is bringing the community together for a special cause that promises to spread smiles across Texas. On December 14th, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, the neighborhood will be hosting a Toy Drive at the RTV Clubhouse, located at 3838 Webster Woods, to benefit Lone Star Santas and help collect toys for children who have been affected by natural disasters. Your participation in this event will make a world of difference for families who are rebuilding their lives after disasters like wildfires and tornadoes.

Why Attend the Toy Drive?

By attending the Toy Drive, you're doing more than just dropping off a donation—you’re helping kids across Texas who have lost their toys due to natural disasters. Here’s why you should come out:

  • Support a Worthy Cause: Your donations will go directly to Lone Star Santas Charities, a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering toys and comfort to children impacted by disasters.

  • Spread Holiday Cheer: The season is about giving, and this event is a perfect opportunity to share your love and hope with kids in need.

  • Family-Friendly Fun: This event is a great way for families to come together and make holiday memories while helping others.

What Will Happen at the Event?

The Toy Drive is packed with meaningful activities for everyone to enjoy. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect:

  1. Toy Donation Drive
  • Bring a Toy, Bring Joy: Help make the season brighter for kids in need by donating new, unwrapped toys. Your gift will be included in the Convoy of Toys that Lone Star Santas will deliver to children affected by natural disasters across Texas.

  • Monetary Donations Welcome: If you're unable to donate a physical toy, monetary donations are also appreciated and will help fund the delivery of toys and other aid.

  1. Community Spirit and Giving
  • Support Lone Star Santas: Lone Star Santas Charities is a 501(c)(3) organization that brings "Love, Hope, and Joy" to children in disaster-stricken areas. This is your chance to be a part of their mission to deliver smiles to children who need it most.

  • Volunteer Opportunities: Want to get even more involved? You can ask about ways to volunteer or support the organization throughout the year.

About Lone Star Santas Charities

Lone Star Santas Charities is a non-profit organization based in Cypress, Texas dedicated to spreading joy to children who have been affected by natural disasters across Texas. Its members are comprised of dedicated community members who portray Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, Elves and helpers. Since its inception, the group has made it their mission to collect toys and comfort children who have lost their belongings in wildfires, tornadoes, floods, and more. Some of their recent efforts include:

  • Delivering toys to children affected by wildfires in the Texas Panhandle.

  • Bringing joy to kids impacted by tornadoes in Temple earlier this year.

These toy deliveries, part of the Convoy of Toys, provide a much-needed sense of normalcy and happiness to children who have experienced the trauma of losing their homes and possessions. The toys you donate will be delivered directly to these children, ensuring they have a gift to unwrap this holiday season.

How You Can Help

  • Bring New, Unwrapped Toys: The toy drive is looking for gifts that are appropriate for all ages, from toddlers to teens. If you're unsure what to donate, consider toys like:

    • Stuffed animals

    • Board games and puzzles

    • Dolls and action figures

    • Books

    • Art supplies

    • Remote-controlled cars or toys

  • Monetary Donations: If you're unable to donate toys, monetary donations are also accepted and will help with logistics and further disaster relief efforts.

Final Thoughts

This holiday season, let’s come together to make a difference. The Toy Drive at Raintree Village is not only a chance to give back to those in need, but it’s also a great way to spread love, hope, and joy to children across Texas. Whether you’re donating a toy or making a monetary contribution, your participation will have a lasting impact.

Mark your calendars for December 14th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM—bring your family, spread some cheer, and help bring joy to those who need it most!
