Playground Refreshed for Summer Fun in Williamsburg Settlement
Just in time for summer break, Williamsburg Settlement’s neighborhood playground has received a cheerful facelift, giving local children a refreshed space to swing, slide, and explore. Located at 1602 Hoyt Drive in Katy, the community playground now features brand-new baby swing chairs and a thick new layer of Kiddie Cushion mulch—designed to provide a softer, safer landing surface for little adventurers.
This playground update is part of the neighborhood’s ongoing commitment to maintaining family-friendly amenities for residents of all ages. The freshly upgraded baby swings replace worn seating with sturdy new models, while the added mulch enhances fall protection under and around the play structure, reducing the risk of scrapes and tumbles.

“We want our families to feel proud of the spaces their kids play in,” said a member of the Williamsburg Settlement HOA Board. “These upgrades were small but meaningful investments to keep our playground safe and inviting for everyone.”
The playground area is nestled in a central spot that many residents already know well—adjacent to the Williamsburg Settlement clubhouse and pool, and just steps from the neighborhood’s tennis and basketball courts. It’s become a regular gathering place for young families, after-school meetups, and weekend playdates.

With Katy’s sunny weather sticking around for the summer, the playground’s enhancements couldn’t come at a better time. Whether it’s toddlers enjoying the baby swings, elementary kids jumping into mulch piles, or siblings dribbling on the nearby court, the area offers something for everyone.
Residents are encouraged to swing by and enjoy the updated space—or bring visiting grandchildren for a fun outing. The Williamsburg Settlement HOA reminds everyone to help keep the area clean and safe by supervising children and disposing of any trash in the provided bins.
