Planning a Pool or Spa in Green Trails Estates? Here’s What You Need to Know

January 29 2025

Thinking about adding a swimming pool or spa to your Green Trails Estates home? Before you dive into construction, be sure to submit your project for review to ensure compliance with community guidelines and keep the process running smoothly.

What You Need to Submit

Your application must include:

  • A plot plan showing the pool or spa’s location relative to property lines, easements, buildings, and fences
  • Details on any trees that will be removed or relocated
  • A construction timeline

Fencing & Drainage Requirements

  • All pools must be enclosed by a 7-foot wooden or wrought iron fence (or one must be built as part of the project).
  • Drainage must meet local government or Architectural Control Committee (ACC) standards, ensuring that no water flows onto neighboring properties.

Construction Rules & Safety

  • A temporary fence or barrier must be in place during construction if an existing fence is removed.
  • No materials can be stored in the street overnight.
  • Excavated material must be used on-site or removed by the pool contractor.
  • All pools must comply with the National Electrical Code and include a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI).
  • Above-ground pools and screened enclosures are not permitted.
