Performer Lineup for Highly-Anticipated 2024 CMS Music Fest Revealed
CYPRESS MUSIC SCENE’s much-anticipated 2024 CMS Music Fest is all set to unite the community and support local charities. With eight bands, shopping, food and more, this curated event offers an opportunity to contribute to your local community while supporting two worthy nonprofits. Joyce Skala, Cypress native and lead vocalist of local band Hurry Sundown, is working together with The Barn at the Frio to organize this musical event with deep-rooted love for the community and an ambition to uplift those in need.
On March 23, 2024, The Barn in Cypress will be pulsing with live music from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Meet the bands who will be bringing their A-game to the stage at this action-packed festival.
Hurry Sundown Band | Southern Rock & High Energy Country (1:00 – 1:30)
Get ready for a mingling of musical aesthetics as the 5-person, female-fronted Hurry Sundown Band graces the stage. Bound by shared passions for sound, rhythm and kick-ass beats, this co-ed cover band led by frontwoman Joyce Skala from Cypress is ready to pack the house with their high-energy, genre-defying music.

Headliner: Mike Ryan (9:30 – 11:00)
Cap off your night with the smooth vocals and country twang of event headliner Mike Ryan, a Texas-born country singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Known for chart-topping hits and passionate live performances, Ryan is undoubtedly a fitting finale for an unforgettable night of music.

While the music is pumping throughout the day, revelers will enjoy a wide array of local vendor offerings from Fairy Hair Girls sparkling hair extensions to Krafty JD tumblers and t-shirts, Mera Cosmetics skincare, 90’s to 2000’s Vibe Shop, and Yarn & Cherry handmade crochet gift shop. Real Ale Brewery, Shiner Brewery, Works of Love handmade coral and turquoise jewelry, and Spirit Gardens crystals will also be there offering an assorted range of goods. Plus, hungry guests can feast on Texas BBQ and spicy crawfish from various food trucks.
But the real essence of the 2024 CMS Music Fest lies not only in its entertainment but also in its ability to inspire action and create a difference through music. Ticket revenues will be channeled towards two remarkable organizations dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable in our community: Cy-Fair Helping Hands and Tunnel to Towers Greater Houston Area.
Established in 2010, nonprofit Cy-Fair Helping Hands is committed to helping the homeless and hungry in the Cy-Fair region achieve self-sufficiency. Tunnel to Towers Greater Houston Area is an organization that honors the brave sacrifices of Stephen Siller, a firefighter who tragically lost his life in 9/11. The organization focuses on providing mortgage-free homes to families of fallen first responders and Gold Star families, and building technologically adapted homes for severely injured veterans and first responders.
General admission tickets are $20 in advance and $28 on the day of the event. VIP tables for 4 or 6 guests, including early admission, VIP Texas beer & liquor tasting, and VIP-only areas are also available starting at $160. All are welcome aged 16 and above to be part of this full-day community event. Parents and guardians, note that children under 16 years old will not be allowed to enter.
