November Brings Books, Balloons, and Beyond at Maud Marks Library
Throughout November, the Maud Smith Marks Branch Library in Katy is opening its doors with a packed schedule of events designed to inspire creativity, community, and connection for Memorial Parkway residents of all ages. From hands-on STEM activities and early literacy storytimes to tech-savvy workshops and sweet seasonal treats, the library’s November 2025 calendar is brimming with opportunity for local engagement.
Located at 1815 Westgreen Blvd, Katy, TX 77450, Maud Marks Library will also serve as a polling site this month, offering early voting on November 1 (7 AM – 7 PM) and hosting voters again on Election Day, November 4 (7 AM – 7 PM).

For Teens and Tweens

Cupcake Decorating (Nov. 6, 4:30–5:30 PM): A sprinkle-filled session for grades 4–12. Tickets required, available 30 minutes prior to event.

Lego Challenge (Nov. 11, 4:30–5:30 PM): Team-based creative builds for grades 4–12.

Tabletop Games & Chess (Nov. 13, 4:30–5:30 PM): From classic games to card decks, youth in grades 3–12 are invited to play.

Teen Anime Club (Nov. 18, 4:30–5:30 PM): Watch anime, share snacks, and connect with fellow fans.

Pokémon Club (Nov. 20, 4:30–5:30 PM): Bring your binder, battle it out, and trade (with parent permission).

Friends of the Library Book Sale
Don’t miss the library’s always-popular November Book Sale on Saturday, November 8 from 10 AM – 4 PM. From novels to children’s titles, there’s something for everyone at bargain prices. Friends of the Library members get early access on Friday, November 7, 4–5:30 PM.
The library will close early at 5 PM on Wednesday, November 26, and remain closed for the Thanksgiving holiday through Sunday, November 30.
