New Proesis Bio Plasma Donation Center Coming to Katy in 2026: A Lifesaving Opportunity for Local Donors
Katy residents will soon have a new opportunity to give back in a big way. Proesis Bio, a plasma donation service based in Idaho, is bringing its unique donor-focused approach to the Katy community with a brand-new location set to open in spring 2026. Located at 5350 N Fry Rd, Katy, TX 77449 in the Adeel Shopping Center, the upcoming Katy plasma center will serve as a vital link in the production of life-saving therapies—while also offering locals a comfortable, rewarding donation experience.
The $2.5 million renovation will transform a 10,500-square-foot space into a fully built-out, state-of-the-art plasma collection facility. Construction begins in February 2026 and is expected to wrap up by late May. Once complete, the facility will provide both medical-grade care and a spa-inspired atmosphere for plasma donors in the Katy and Greater Houston area.
Plasma Donations That Save Lives
Plasma, often called “the gift of life,” plays a crucial role in treating people with rare diseases, autoimmune conditions, and trauma injuries. Plasma-derived therapies are used in emergency rooms, operating rooms, and long-term care for diseases like hemophilia, pediatric HIV, and immune deficiencies.
For example, according to Proesis Bio, it takes:
- 130 donations to treat one person with primary immunodeficiency for a year,
- 900 donations to treat alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency,
- and 1,200 to help one patient with hemophilia annually.
These are just some of the ways your plasma can make a profound impact.

Plasma’s impact is further highlighted by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, which notes that many patients with rare or chronic conditions rely on plasma-based therapies as their only effective treatment option. Because each patient’s care depends on plasma collected from many different donors, every contribution supports a collective effort that can help stabilize, restore, and even save lives in critical situations.
The design of Proesis Bio centers aims to help donors feel valued—not just for what they give, but for who they are. The company prides itself on maintaining spa-like settings with caring, professional staff and opportunities to connect with patients who benefit from plasma therapies.
A Different Donation Experience
The upcoming Katy location will expand Proesis Bio’s presence in Texas and beyond, joining existing centers in Houston, Dallas, Raleigh, and Meridian, Idaho. Additional sites are also planned for cities like Austin and Fort Worth.
At its centers, Proesis Bio aims to create an experience that is clear and approachable for donors. Information about eligibility, health screenings, and compensation is provided up front, and staff are available to guide donors through the process.
New donors can earn up to $650 in their first month, with ongoing compensation of $40 per visit and additional incentives based on frequency. A referral program also offers $50 to current donors for each new donor who completes two visits within six months.

All donations are conducted under the supervision of trained staff and licensed medical professionals, following safety protocols set by regulatory agencies including the FDA.
Easy Scheduling with the ProesisPlus App
Proesis Bio donors will have access to the ProesisPlus app, which is designed to simplify the donation process. The app allows users to schedule appointments, view donation history, track rewards, and find educational information about plasma donation. It’s currently available for iOS, with an Android version expected soon.
Supporting Health Needs in a Growing Katy
With Katy’s population continuing to expand, the addition of a plasma donation center brings another health-related resource to the area. The facility is expected to support both donors and patients by contributing to the national plasma supply while offering local residents an option to participate in the broader effort to improve access to plasma-based therapies.
