Mind Matters: Converse Hosts Free Youth Mental Health & Resilience Class for Ages 10–13
Raising kids through the tween years can be tough—for them and for parents. To help local families navigate that stage with a little more confidence, the City of Converse is hosting Mind Matters: Strong Minds. Real Skills., a free youth mental health and resilience class for children ages 10 to 13.
The class focuses on giving pre-teens practical tools they can actually use, from managing emotions to building confidence and handling everyday challenges. The goal is to help kids feel more prepared as they move through school, friendships, and all the changes that come with growing up—without pressure and in a supportive setting.
The event will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Converse Central Fire Station, located at 602 Toepperwein Road. The familiar location makes it easy for families to attend and keeps the setting comfortable and approachable for kids.
