Mayde Creek High School Student Recognized as National Merit Semifinalist
Mayde Creek High School senior Jamie Klander has earned the esteemed recognition of being a 2026 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. This achievement places Jamie among the highest academic performers in the nation.
Each year, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®) identifies top scorers on the PSAT/NMSQT who demonstrate exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies. Only about one percent of U.S. high school seniors earn Semifinalist status.
“These remarkable students embody the hard work and dedication of our Katy ISD students,” said Assistant Superintendent for School Leadership & Support Emily Craig. “This accomplishment reflects their commitment to academic excellence and the unwavering commitment of their families, teachers and school communities.”
