Lone Star College-Magnolia Center Opens January 2026, Bringing New Educational Opportunities to Southwest Montgomery and Southeast Waller Counties

the new year around the corner, Lone Star College is set to open the doors of its newest satellite facility: the Lone Star College–Magnolia Center, a state-of-the-art 85,000-square-foot campus located at1280 Escondido Dr, Magnolia, TX 77354. The center officially opens in January 2026 and is now enrolling students for the Spring 2026 semester, which begins January 20.

Strategically located just north of FM 1486 on FM 1774, the LSC-Magnolia Center is designed to serve the growing educational and workforce needs of southwest Montgomery County and southeast Waller County. With its opening, Lone Star College deepens its commitment to accessible, affordable education that empowers students and strengthens local communities.

“The Lone Star College–Magnolia Center will be a strong partner for the community by offering academic and workforce programs that lead to high-value certificates, associate degrees, and transfer opportunities to four-year institutions,” said Lee Ann Nutt, Ed.D., president of LSC-Tomball.

The new Magnolia Center will offer a full suite of support services alongside a wide variety of academic courses, helping both traditional and non-traditional students take the next step in their educational journey. Programs include art, biology, business, drama, economics, English, geology, math, psychology, sociology, and more, providing both general education options and career-specific training.

“As you can see, the Lone Star College-Magnolia Center has a variety of course offerings to help you start, continue or complete your educational journey,” said Latoya Hardman, vice president of Instruction at LSC-Tomball. “We encourage you to register as early as possible to build a schedule that best fits your needs.”

Beyond the classroom, the LSC-Magnolia Center is committed to supporting the whole student. Resources will include academic advising, degree planning, tutoring, student life programs, transfer assistance, veterans services, and full access to a campus library and testing center—ensuring students have everything they need to succeed.

The facility itself is also expected to be a hub for community engagement and workforce development partnerships, with space intentionally designed to host future programs and events that benefit the broader Magnolia area.

A Stronger Lone Star Presence in Magnolia

Lone Star College is the largest institution of higher education in the Greater Houston area, serving over 90,000 students each semester across its expansive system. The LSC-Magnolia Center adds to a network that includes eight colleges, six satellite centers, eight Workforce Centers of Excellence, and Lone Star Corporate College.
