Lane Closure Notice: Ella Boulevard at Spring Cypress Road
Harris County Precinct 3 is working to increase school safety by improving the intersection along Spring Cypress Road at Ella Boulevard that facilitates traffic from three nearby Klein ISD school complexes.
This project includes constructing a westbound right-turn lane and reconstructing the traffic signal. As crews work on these improvements, a temporary lane closure will go into effect from June 1 to June 16. The northbound right lane will be closed on Ella Boulevard, but drivers will be able to travel northbound without a detour. Eastbound right turns will be restricted on Spring Cypress Road to go north on Ella Boulevard. Drivers can utilize Falvel Road as a detour. Message boards have been installed to notify drivers of the lane closure on Ella Boulevard.
The lane will re-open on June 17. Precinct 3 teams waited to close the lane until after nearby schools finished their academic school year. This intersection project will conclude during the third quarter of 2023 at a cost of $830,000.
