For many families, the Fourth of July is about more than fireworks—it's about spending time with neighbors, creating traditions and celebrating the community they call home. This year, Lakes on Eldridge residents will have the opportunity to do all three during a neighborhood celebration marking America's 250th birthday.

On Saturday, July 4, residents are invited to gather at the Lakes on Eldridge Clubhouse parking lot for a patriotic parade beginning at 6:30 p.m. Whether participating in the parade or cheering from the sidelines, the event offers a fun way for neighbors of all ages to come together and celebrate Independence Day close to home.

Decorate and Join the Parade

Residents are encouraged to decorate their wagons, bicycles, scooters and strollers with red, white and blue before heading to the clubhouse. The neighborhood parade has become a favorite tradition, giving children and families a chance to showcase their patriotic spirit while connecting with friends and neighbors.

Those who prefer to watch rather than participate are equally encouraged to line the route and help create a festive atmosphere throughout the community.

Family Fun Continues After the Parade

The celebration doesn't end when the parade wraps up!

Following the parade, residents can enjoy several family-friendly activities, including:

• Hot dogs
• Husky Sno treats
• A bounce house
• Texas Bubblers entertainment

The post-parade festivities are designed to give neighbors even more opportunities to relax, visit with one another and celebrate the holiday together.

Fireworks Reminder for Lakes on Eldridge Residents

Residents planning to celebrate with fireworks are reminded that they are permitted only in designated zoned areas and should always be used with adult supervision and at your own risk.

The community encourages residents to launch fireworks behind the Lakes on Eldridge clubhouse and over the lakewhenever possible. Everyone is also asked to use fireworks responsibly and keep them away from people, pets, homes and community property to help ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday for everyone. Please cleanup all fireworks debris, and remember to soak spent fireworks for 30 minutes in a bucket of water to ensure that they are fully extinguished.

Celebrating Community While Honoring a Historic Milestone

America's 250th birthday is a once-in-a-generation milestone, and neighborhood celebrations like this one offer residents a chance to commemorate the occasion in a meaningful way. From children proudly riding decorated bikes to neighbors gathering for food and conversation after the parade, events like these help strengthen the sense of community that makes Lakes on Eldridge a special place to live.

Whether you're decorating a stroller, bringing the family to enjoy the festivities or simply waving from the sidelines, the celebration promises to be an evening filled with hometown spirit and patriotic pride.
