KWLB Shred Event Set for March 8th at Riverwood Park

March 06 2025

Residents of Weston Lakes looking for a secure way to dispose of confidential documents while supporting a greener environment can participate in the upcoming Keep Weston Lakes Beautiful (KWLB) Shred Event. The event will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 10 AM to 1 PM at Riverwood Park, located at 32702 Westminster Dr, Fulshear, TX 77441, and offers a convenient drive-thru drop-off for safe, on-site document shredding and recycling.

To help offset the cost of the shred truck, KWLB welcomes a suggested donation of $10. The event is open to all Weston Lakes residents who want to responsibly dispose of old documents while contributing to environmental conservation.

What is Keep Weston Lakes Beautiful (KWLB)?

KWLB is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and an affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful. The group is dedicated to maintaining and improving the natural beauty of Weston Lakes through community-driven environmental initiatives. KWLB works on projects that promote litter reduction, habitat preservation, and nature education for residents of all ages.

KWLB is responsible for two signature community projects:

  • KWLB Butterfly Garden in Ragle Park (Pecan Park) – A space that supports pollinators and provides an educational environment for visitors.

  • KWLB Bird Sanctuary in the Weston Lakes Nature Reserve – A protected habitat that encourages local wildlife conservation.

Additionally, the organization hosts several annual events focused on environmental education and community involvement, including the Great American Clean Up, Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off, and Keep Texas Waterways Clean programs.
