Klein ISD to Hold January 12 Board Meeting: What Inverness Estates Residents Should Know
As students across Klein Independent School District settle into the spring semester, the district’s Board of Trustees is preparing to host its first regular meeting of the new year. The meeting will take place on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., and Inverness Estates residents are encouraged to tune in or attend to stay informed about key decisions affecting local schools.
The meeting will be held in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act and hosted at either the Frank A. Lemmon Administration Building or the Klein ISD Multipurpose Center, depending on anticipated attendance. For those who prefer to follow along remotely, a livestream will be available at kleinisd.net/board-meetings.
What’s on the Agenda?
January’s meeting will feature a combination of recognitions, updates, and actionable agenda items. The district plans to spotlight outstanding students and teachers, honor CTE Automotive Dealers Association champions, and celebrate distinguished alumni and a finalist for National Superintendent of the Year.
Kicking off the new year, the meeting also coincides with School Board Recognition Month, a time to thank trustees for their service to public education in the Klein community.
Key Business Items Include:
- Board Policy Reviews
- 2022 Bond Program Updates
- Approval of an equipment supplier for the 2025 Facilities Renovation Project (FRP) Air Handling Unit (AHU) pre-purchase
- Selection of a contractor for the 2025 Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Chiller Package #2
- Consent Agenda Items
- Approval of the Federal Single Audit Report
- Authorization for the Board President to sign Charter School impact statements
- Review of HB 3372 contracts
- Approval of December 8, 2025, meeting minutes
These agenda items play an important role in advancing the district’s strategic goals and long-term infrastructure planning. The Board will also review the Board Agenda Calendar and hear closing comments from administrators and trustees before adjournment.
Public Participation Encouraged
Klein ISD invites community members, including those living in the Inverness Estates area, to participate in the meeting’s public comment portion. Residents may address either agenda or non-agenda topics, but must submit the Public Comment form by 10:30 a.m. on the day of the meeting to speak. Audience members may not engage in discussion during other parts of the meeting unless recognized by the presiding officer.
Community members who prefer to submit written communications may send letters directly to the Board President at the Frank A. Lemmon Administration Building (7200 Spring-Cypress Road, Klein, TX 77379).

Please note that the Board may not deliberate on items not included in the posted agenda but can request that topics raised during public comment be added to a future meeting for discussion.
A Transparent and Orderly Process
Klein ISD’s Board meetings are guided by Robert’s Rules of Order to ensure fair discussion and clear procedures. To maintain an orderly environment, disruptions will not be tolerated. Law enforcement may be called upon if disruptions continue after a warning is issued.
The Board also emphasizes the importance of resolving issues through the appropriate administrative channels. Whether an employee, parent, or community member has a concern, the district encourages individuals to begin with the established resolution policies (DGBA, FNG, or GF) before bringing issues to the Board.
Why It Matters for Inverness Estates Families
The decisions made during these monthly meetings impact not only Klein ISD campuses and staff, but also families and students in surrounding neighborhoods like Inverness Estates. From facility upgrades to student recognition and policy approvals, these meetings offer a front-row seat to how the district is shaping the educational experience across the Klein community.
For those unable to attend in person, the livestream and meeting archive provide an accessible way to remain engaged throughout the school year.
