The Sandtrap Bringing Indoor Golf, Food and League Nights to Spring’s Riley Fuzzel Corridor

February 16 2026

A growing stretch of Riley Fuzzel Road in Spring is about to gain a new place to tee off, without ever stepping outside. The Sandtrap, a new indoor golf simulator and restaurant venue, is planned for 4565 Riley Fuzzel Road, Spring, TX 77386, in Montgomery County.

According to official project filings, construction is scheduled to begin May 4, 2026, with an estimated completion date of April 1, 2027. The new build will total 9,667 square feet and carries an estimated construction cost of $3,774,571.

For residents in Spring and nearby Woodlands-area neighborhoods, it’s another sign that this fast-developing corridor is adding not just rooftops — but places to gather.

A New Kind of Golf Experience in Spring

Unlike a traditional driving range or country club, The Sandtrap is centered around state-of-the-art indoor golf simulators. The technology is designed to recreate real-world play by tracking ball flight, course terrain and other conditions — allowing guests to practice, play full rounds, or fine-tune specific skills.

Players will also have access to famous golf courses from around the world, all without leaving Montgomery County.

For anyone who’s tried to squeeze in a round during a humid Texas summer or between afternoon thunderstorms, the indoor setup offers a practical alternative. It also opens the door for evening league play, corporate outings and casual weeknight rounds close to home.

Memberships, Loyalty Perks and Flexible Pricing

The Sandtrap will offer a $20 monthly Players Pass membership aimed at regular players. Members will save $10 per hour compared to public rates and receive exclusive pass holder benefits.

Notably, there are no initiation fees and no contracts — members can cancel at any time.

In addition, the venue will feature a free Loyalty Club. Guests can create an account using their mobile number, track purchases and earn points toward simulator reservations. Customers also have the option to link a credit card so purchases are automatically tracked. Once enough points are earned, they can be redeemed online for simulator time.

For families or friend groups planning to visit regularly, those small savings can add up.

Lessons, Leagues and Events Under One Roof

Beyond open play, The Sandtrap is positioning itself as a social venue as much as a practice facility.

Guests will be able to request private lessons with experienced instructors, whether they’re beginners learning fundamentals or seasoned golfers refining their swing.

The space will also allow groups to start their own leagues, reserving an entire simulator bay for weekly play. That setup makes it easy to create anything from a casual friends’ night to a more competitive standing league.

Event hosting will be available as well. Birthday parties, corporate outings, team-building events and group gatherings can be scheduled with customizable packages built around simulator use and dining.

In an area where new neighborhoods continue to expand east and west of Riley Fuzzel Road, venues that combine food, recreation and indoor entertainment are increasingly in demand.

Another Sign of Growth Along Riley Fuzzel Road

The Riley Fuzzel corridor has steadily transformed over the past several years, with new residential communities and commercial projects reshaping this part of Spring.

The addition of The Sandtrap reflects a broader shift in suburban development — bringing experience-driven entertainment closer to where families live, rather than requiring a drive into central Houston.

Construction is expected to run from May 2026 through early 2027. As work gets underway, residents will likely see activity increase at the 4565 Riley Fuzzel Road site.

An official grand opening date has not yet been announced. Based on typical timelines for projects of this size, updates may follow as construction progresses and inspections near completion.

For golfers, families and local businesses alike, The Sandtrap adds another option for recreation and connection in Spring. Stay tuned for updates on construction progress and opening details as this Montgomery County project moves forward.
