Klein ISD Education Foundation Delivers $62,057 in Grants to Empower Educators and Enrich Classrooms
Cheers, applause, and the clang of celebration bells echoed through the halls of Klein ISD campuses this December as the Klein ISD Education Foundation (KEF) surprised local educators with $62,057 in grant awards for innovative teaching projects.
Aboard the festive KEF Celebration Express, the foundation team—accompanied by Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown, community volunteers, and grant sponsors—made joyful visits across the district, delivering oversized checks and heartfelt congratulations to this season’s recipients.
“It is a true joy to surprise our extraordinary educators with these generously donated funds,” said Dr. McGown. “My heartfelt gratitude goes to the Klein ISD Education Foundation and our dedicated grant sponsors, whose support has made this day truly unforgettable for our entire Klein Family.”
This season’s grant awards, part of the 2025 Fall Educator Grant Cycle, were designed to fuel innovation and creativity in classrooms across the Klein ISD community. Projects range from virtual reality development and STEM-based LEGO learning to music education through mariachi and orchestra, as well as outdoor nature labs, reading initiatives, and movement-focused learning environments.
“Today’s Celebration Express was an incredible reminder of the passion and creativity that fuels Klein ISD,” said KEF Director Christy Spisak. “The foundation is proud to support these innovative projects and the educators who dream big for their students. We’re deeply grateful for the community partners who make this work possible and help us achieve our mission."
