Klein ISD Education Foundation 5K & Kids Fun Run Returns May 3 at Klein Memorial Stadium

February 10 2026

Lace up, Klein. The Klein ISD Education Foundation 5K & Kids Fun Run is happening Saturday, May 3 at Klein Memorial Stadium (16607 Stuebner Airline Rd, Klein, TX 77379)—and it’s one of those feel-good community events that truly makes a difference.

Presented by Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and underwritten by Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, this annual race supports the Klein ISD Education Foundation, which funds innovative classroom grants for teachers across the district.

The USATF Certified 5K kicks off at 7:30 a.m. CDT, followed by the always-adorable Kids Fun Run at 8:45 a.m. CDT for children ages 4–12 (K–5th grade).

Here’s what families need to know:

  • 5K early registration: $30 (students ages 5–19 receive a $25 rate)
    • Price increases after February 26, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CST
  • Kids Fun Run early registration: $15
    • Price increases after April 12, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CDT

Signing up early not only saves money—it also helps guarantee your race t-shirt size while supplies last.

Every registration directly benefits Klein ISD students. The Foundation awards grants twice a year, with educators eligible for up to $5,000 individually, teams up to $7,500, multi-campus projects up to $15,000, and principals able to apply for Lead the Spark grants up to $25,000. Those funds turn into hands-on learning tools, enrichment programs, and creative projects that might not otherwise happen.

The Klein ISD Education Foundation has been serving the district since 2000 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit led by community volunteers and local business leaders. And this race? It’s one of the ways the community shows up for its schools.

Whether you’re chasing a PR, walking with friends, or cheering on your elementary runner, this is a morning that feels very Klein—neighbors supporting neighbors, and every step helping local classrooms.
