The Katy Independent School District (Katy ISD) Board of Trustees will hold its next Regular Board Meeting on Monday, December 8, 2025, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Education Support Complex Board Room, 6301 S. Stadium Lane, Katy, Texas 77494. Local families, staff, and community members are encouraged to attend in person or tune in via the district’s livestream to stay informed about key decisions shaping the district.

How to Participate in the Katy ISD Board Meeting
For those interested in voicing their thoughts or concerns, the Public Comment/Citizen Participation portion of the meeting allows registered speakers to address the Board directly. To participate, email publicspeakers@katyisd.org no later than 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025.

Highlights from the December 8 Meeting Agenda
The evening will begin with a special moment led by students, as a Hutsell Elementary student leads the Pledges of Allegiance and the Faldyn Elementary Choir performs the National Anthem. Cinco Ranch High School will also be recognized during the meeting.
Among the important topics scheduled for discussion and decision:
- Course Planning Presentation – Academic planning guidance for students and families
- Financial Reports – Review of September and October 2025 budgets and amendments
- Facility and Safety Upgrades – Approval of life safety system updates at multiple campuses
- Policy and Election Planning – Adoption of Policy Update 126 and preparations for the May 2, 2026 Trustee Election
- Naming Process – Formation of a committee to name the new North Transportation Center

Additionally, the Board will consider utility easements with CenterPoint Energy and set non-business days for 2026 public information requests, among other administrative matters.
The meeting will include closed sessions addressing personnel discussions, a TEA Intruder Detection Audit review, and a Level Three grievance matter related to student and parent concerns. The Board will reconvene after each closed session to take any required public action.
