Join the Keep Fulshear Beautiful Trash Off on November 16th

October 23 2024

Get ready, Fulshear residents! The upcoming Keep Fulshear Beautiful Fall Trash Clean-Up event is set for November 16, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at the Irene Stern Community Center, located at 6920 Fulshear Katy Road in Fulshear. This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together and help keep our city looking its best. Whether you're a long-time resident or new to the area, your participation can make a difference!

Volunteers will gather at the Irene Stern Community Center to kick off the day with a safety talk before hitting the streets to pick up trash around the city. The Keep Fulshear Beautiful initiative, which began in 2011, has gained tremendous support over the years, and this event promises to be both fun and rewarding. It's a family-friendly gathering where everyone is welcome to join in and contribute to the beautification of Fulshear.

In addition to picking up roadside debris, volunteers will also have the chance to help replant community vegetable gardens and plant native species in public spaces. The city works in collaboration with the nonprofit Forever Fulshear to organize these events, reinforcing our commitment to creating a vibrant, clean environment. Keep Fulshear Beautiful also holds bi-annual cleanups in November and April, making it easy for residents to get involved and make a lasting impact.

For those interested in more than just trash pick-up, e-recycling and paper shredding services will be available at the event, ensuring that you can safely dispose of your unwanted electronic items and sensitive documents while helping the environment. Keep Texas Beautiful, the statewide organization supporting community improvement, has recognized Fulshear as a Silver Star Affiliate, a testament to the community's collective efforts and dedication to maintaining a beautiful community.

If you’re eager to help out, please fill out a volunteer form available on the City of Fulshear website and join the community in making a positive impact. For any questions, feel free to contact Ramona Ridge at 713-703-4129. Come together as a community and show your pride in Fulshear!
