Jeannette Rodricks Named Principal of Roosevelt Alexander Elementary, Bringing Vision and Experience to Katy ISD Campus
Roosevelt Alexander Elementary (RAE) will soon welcome a familiar and respected face into its top leadership role. Katy ISD has named Jeannette Rodricks as the new principal of RAE, a move that brings continuity, community connection, and a strong instructional track record to the Grand Lakes community.
Rodricks, who currently serves as the assistant principal at Alexander Elementary, will officially begin her principalship on December 8, 2025. With 14 years of dedicated service to Katy ISD and 17 years in public education overall, her appointment represents a seamless transition for students, staff, and families.
“Being able to lead this campus is a true honor,” said Rodricks. “Alexander Elementary is a school built on the virtues held by our living namesake, Mr. Roosevelt Alexander. Our shared belief that all students deserve an inclusive, accepting school environment is evident in the high achievement of all students. I will continue to partner with all stakeholders to continue the school's long history of academic success.”
Jeannette Rodricks was recently named the new principal of Rodricks’ career reflects deep roots in both instructional leadership and student-focused support. Since joining RAE in 2023, she has cultivated strong relationships across the school community while supporting curriculum development, teacher mentorship, and family engagement initiatives. Her previous roles include assistant principal at Fielder Elementary, math and science instructional coach at Jenks Elementary—where she was named a Lifetime PTA Member—and bilingual teacher and coach at Morton Ranch Elementary, where she began her Katy ISD journey.
Katy ISD Superintendent Ken Gregorski praised her selection, noting, “Mrs. Rodricks is an exemplary leader who has a passion for providing the best learning environment for every child. She has established ties with the Alexander Elementary community and understands its strengths and needs. Her background as an instructional coach, bilingual teacher and mentor are invaluable.”
Rodricks has also brought her leadership talents beyond the campus level. She serves as a TEPSA Region 4 District Liaison, participated in the prestigious Aspiring Principals’ Academy and N2Learning’s Assistant Principal Leadership Academy, and currently mentors fellow assistant principals. In 2024, she was recognized as Katy ISD’s Districtwide Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year—a testament to her impact on student growth, bilingual education, and special education programs.

In addition to her professional accolades, Rodricks holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas and a Master’s in Educational Administration from the University of Texas-Arlington. She is certified as a Bilingual Generalist-Spanish and holds a Texas principal certification.
As families across West Katy and the greater Katy ISD area look to the future of Roosevelt Alexander Elementary, Rodricks' appointment has sparked optimism and enthusiasm throughout the community.
