Jamestown Colony Residents Encouraged to Keep Voting on Fence Proposal and Annual Meeting

November 26 2025

Jamestown Colony residents are reminded that online voting is still open for both the Annual Meeting Vote and the Special Vote on the Fence Proposal, and every household’s input is vital to the future of the community.

Homeowners are especially encouraged to review and vote on the Trex Composite Fence Proposal, a major initiative that would replace the aging perimeter wood fencing with an 8-foot Trex fence in Woodland Brown. This potential upgrade was first introduced to the community in early November, and the response so far has sparked significant interest and conversation.

The proposed fence, designed to be eco-friendly and hurricane-wind resistant, would offer long-term cost savings and durability. According to HOA estimates, switching to Trex could save the community over $1.5 million in maintenance and replacement costs over the next 25 years, compared to continuing with traditional wood fencing. Homeowners would pay an estimated $12.92 per month if the project is approved and financed over 10 years.

Residents can view a sample installation of the Trex fencing at the corner of West Little York and Huffmeister to get a feel for the appearance and durability of the product before casting their vote.

Meanwhile, the Annual Meeting Vote includes key community decisions and governance matters. Voting in both areas helps ensure that each resident has a voice in Jamestown Colony’s direction and priorities.
