About Houston Repertoire Ballet
Houston Repertoire Ballet (HRB) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) dance organization. The pre-professional youth ballet was conceptualized in 1994 and received non-profit status in 1995. It arose from the need and desire to provide northwest Harris County communities with the highest quality of dance education and performance. HRB has grown to become the premier pre-professional company in the area, requiring discipline and commitment from the dancers and providing three major productions for the community each season. All dancers are selected from students of the Ballet Center of Houston.
The Houston Repertoire Ballet Company is a collaborative effort of its founders, Gilbert Rome and Victoria Vittum - both nationally recognized teachers and choreographers. Since its inception, HRB students have been accepted to an impressive list of nationally recognized ballet programs throughout the country, and HRB dancers have gone on to dance professionally with numerous professional ballet companies around the nation, including American Ballet Theatre, Houston Ballet, Colorado Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and many more.
