Hearthstone Scouts Launch 2026 Flag Subscription Program to Support Local Youth and Patriotism
Residents of the Hearthstone community can once again show their patriotic spirit while supporting local youth through the 2026 Troops 28-82 Flag Subscription Program. Organized by the linked BSA Scout Troops 28 (boys) and 82 (girls), this annual program offers an easy, meaningful way to display the American flag at your home on major national holidays—all while contributing to local scouting efforts.
The subscription includes full service—Scouts will post a flag in your yard before the holiday and retrieve it afterward. Unlike many third-party services, this flag program is Scout-operated. Every Scout is trained in flag etiquette to ensure each flag is handled with respect and properly maintained.
For just $50 per calendar year, subscribers receive flag placement on six key patriotic holidays:
- Presidents Day – February 16, 2026
- Memorial Day – May 25, 2026
- Independence Day – July 4, 2026
- Labor Day – September 7, 2026
- Patriots Day – September 11, 2026
- Veterans Day – November 11, 2026
In an effort to unify the community's patriotic displays, Troop 28-82 has aligned its flag-posting schedule with that of the Cy-Fair band’s program—so even more flags will fly across the neighborhood at the same time.

“By participating, you’re not just showing your love for our country—you’re also investing in the future of our youth,” shared a representative from the Troop. “Proceeds go directly to Scout-led activities, community service projects, and Eagle Scout initiatives.”
