Hearthstone Residents Advised to Stay Vigilant as Exit Gate Repairs Are Underway

Hearthstone Residents Advised to Stay Vigilant as Exit Gate Repairs Are Underway

March 04 2025

Residents of the gated section of Hearthstone are advised to take extra precautions following damage to the community's exit gate last week. While the Homeowners Association and community management team is actively obtaining bids for repairs, the temporary lack of a fully functioning gate has led to an increase in solicitors and reports of suspicious activity in the area.

To help keep your home, family, and belongings safe, the Harris County Constable Precinct 5 is offering the following crime prevention tips:

  • Lock Your Vehicles: Always keep your car doors locked and remove any valuables from plain sight, even when parked in your driveway.

  • Secure Doors and Windows: Ensure that all entry points to your home are locked, including side gates, garage doors, and back entrances.

  • Leave Exterior Lights On at Night: A well-lit property can deter unwanted visitors and reduce potential security risks.

  • Avoid Leaving Valuables Outside: Items such as bicycles, packages, and outdoor equipment should be stored securely to prevent theft.

  • Be Cautious with Solicitors: If someone knocks on your door selling a service or product, avoid engaging if you feel uncomfortable and report any aggressive behavior.

  • Stay Alert and Report Suspicious Activity: If you notice anything unusual, such as unfamiliar vehicles lingering in the area or individuals acting suspiciously, report it immediately to local law enforcement.

If you see any suspicious activity, please contact the Harris County Constable Precinct 5 or your local police department to ensure the safety of the neighborhood. Their dispatch team can be reached at  281-463-6666, and online reporting can be done here.

The Hearthstone HOA appreciates residents' patience while the exit gate is being repaired and will provide updates as soon as possible. By working together and staying vigilant, the community can help maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone.
