Harris County Constable Precinct 5 deputies recorded 1,075 calls for service in Hearthstone throughout January 2026, according to the latest constable report. This marks a slight increase from December’s 1,069 calls, as contract patrols and proactive engagement efforts remained strong.

Deputies conducted 902 contract checks during the month—a modest uptick from December’s 889.

Precinct 5 deputies continued their commitment to visibility and engagement by performing:

  • 62 business checks
  • 7 school checks
  • 7 park checks
  • 5 total face-to-face visits through “Meet the Citizen” and “Meet the Officer” efforts

While reports of serious crimes remained low, there were slight increases in theft and interpersonal incidents, including one harassment case and one family assault—neither of which escalated.
