Green Trails MUD Issues New Rates and Fees Schedule
The Green Trails Municipal Utility District (MUD) recently released its updated schedule for rates and fees, effective on July 31, 2024. The said rates and fees cover an array of services including water, sewer, and related utilities.
For water service, the cost per 1,000 gallons varies depending on usage. For the first 5,000 gallons, rates are $13.00 for a 5/8” & 3/4” meter, and $14.00 for 1” meter. The charges then increase progressively for every additional 1,000 gallons, reaching up to $11.00 per 1,000 gallons for usage over 200,000 gallons.
For irrigation, especially for lots 30,000 square feet or larger, the cost per 1,000 gallons starts from $26.00 for a 5/8” & 3/4” meter and $27.00 for a 1” meter for the first 10,000 gallons. Like the standard water rates, the charges incrementally increase with usage, topping at $11.00 per 1,000 gallons for usage over 300,000 gallons.
The monthly rates for CofH GRP (Groundwater Reduction Plan) is set at $2.83 per 1,000 gallons. For sewage services, there is a flat rate in place of $20.30.
Additionally, Green Trails has a temporary Ezee Fiber Damage Recovery Fee. This fee is set at $20.00 for both July and August 2024 and will be reduced to $1.50 in September. This charge will be entirely dropped off by October 1, 2024.
New application fees for both owners and renters are set at $100.00 for a deposit, plus a $40.00 application fee. Delinquent accounts will be subjected to a 10% penalty of the delinquent amount, with a $60.00 cut-off fee. However, there are no charges for a letter fee or a door tag for delinquent accounts.
In cases of returned checks, a fee of $30.00 will be charged. For pulled meters, a fee of $50.00 will be imposed.
The policy for vacation status involves a disconnection/reconnection fee of $20.00. Similarly, for plumbing repairs, a disconnection/reconnection charge of $20.00 shall be applicable.
Residents of Green Trails MUD are reminded that their monthly bills are due on the 23rd of each month, and the rates are subject to change.
