Grayson Lakes Faces Possible Cancellation of Annual Eggstravaganza Without Volunteer Organizer
A long-standing spring tradition in the Grayson Lakes community is at risk of not returning this year. The annual Eggstravaganza event, typically held in early April and cherished by families for its festive atmosphere and neighborhood fun, may be canceled for 2025 unless a volunteer organizer is found soon.
Scheduled for April 13, this year’s Eggstravaganza has yet to move forward due to a lack of residents willing to take on the planning and coordination efforts. The Grayson Lakes HOA Board issued a community-wide notice on March 20, 2025, asking for immediate support to keep the event on the calendar.
“This cherished tradition brings joy to our community, but it cannot happen without someone to take the lead in planning and coordination,” the board shared in a message to residents.
The Eggstravaganza typically features Easter egg hunts, family-friendly activities, and opportunities for neighbors to gather and celebrate the spring season. Its cancellation would mark a noticeable gap in the community’s seasonal events calendar and underscores the importance of resident involvement in local neighborhood activities.

The potential cancellation of this event highlights a growing challenge faced by many planned communities and HOAs—balancing beloved traditions with the need for active resident participation.
Those interested in volunteering to help preserve this spring tradition are encouraged to contact the HOA promptly. If a volunteer is confirmed, updates regarding the Grayson Lakes Easter Egg Hunt and Eggstravaganza event will be shared with residents ahead of the planned April 13 date.
The HOA extends its sincere thanks to all neighbors who continue to support and contribute to the community’s cherished traditions.
